The Founding and the Creed
You stand in the Imperium of Octavium, ruled today by Emperaetor Aleczaender. It was not always secure. The July 6 Trial was a coup that deposed Aleczaender and, for a time, placed Teutonnian-aligned leaders in his place. The Imperium's own motto since has been WE WILL NEVER FORGET JULY 6, and it is not decoration. It is a warning kept alive on purpose.
Zaenderists did not accept that outcome. Through the Second Octavian Civil War, fought against a Teutonnian-Kalevos alignment and later against Leutgardism, the movement fought its way back to Aleczaender's restoration as Emperaetor. Octavium today, its territory reunified and its independence secured, is the result of that war, not a given that was always there.
Zaenderism is the creed underneath the state. It calls itself autocratic populism, and it names its founder the Great Leader. Its own words describe it as forged in the fires of betrayal, unyielding and unbroken. Its anthem is Forever Loyal We Shall Be, and its short answer to anyone who doubts what it has survived is simply GOD DID.
Keep the two ideas separate in your head. The Imperium is the state, its branches, its ministries, its ranks. Zaenderism is the creed that the state serves. Every Octavian owes loyalty to both, but they are not the same word.
